GLADIATORS Warrior and Amazon will star at a Black Tie event to raise awareness of alopecia.

The Sky TV stars will be joined by X Factor contestants Bad Lashes at September 12's BeBold charity ball at Rainton Meadows Arena, Houghton-le-Spring.

One in 10 people will suffer the effects of the hair loss condition at some point in their lives.

Proceeds from the ball will be used to take children with the condition away to a Cowboys and Indians' venue with the Gladiators for a three-day break aimed at building their self esteem and confidence.
