A 15-year-old boy was in hospital today after being stabbed at London''s Notting Hill Carnival.
The teenager was found with several wounds yesterday shortly after 7pm, marring the final day of the two-day spectacular.
He was taken to a central London hospital where his injuries were said to be serious, but not critical. Scotland Yard said inquiries into the stabbing were continuing.
An estimated 400,000-strong crowd was lured out by yesterday''s bright Bank Holiday sunshine to enjoy the sights and sounds of what is Europe''s largest street party.
Police said carnival goers generally behaved themselves and arrests were down on 2008.
As of early this morning, a total of 215 people had been arrested, compared to 270 by the same time last year. Most people were held for public order and drugs offences.
