Football running in the family?

UNITED may yet find themselves with another Geoff Allen on their books, weaving magical patterns through a deadly left foot just like granddad.

"I have two daughters who live in Whitley Bay and five grandchildren," Geoff proudly told me.

"A couple of them are more than decent little footballers.

"They are only five and six but one has a left foot to die for and the other has been up to Newcastle's academy. "There might yet be another of the Allen clan to wear the famous black and white striped shirt." S
