Air Jamaica
Air Jamaica is extending the low fares purchase period for travel to Jamaica. The fares are available for purchase until Aug. 17 and are valid for travel Aug. 17 to Dec. 11. Sale fares are valid for both Lovebird Economy and Lovebird Executive classes. All fares are roundtrip and a two-day minimum stay is required. Government taxes and fees are additional. Conditions regarding black-out periods, cancellations and other charges apply. Sample roundtrip fares between Montego Bay or Kingston include: Fort Lauderdale, USD 328; Orlando, USD 368; Baltimore, USD 498; Chicago, USD 498; Philadelphia, USD 498; and New York, USD 498. TAM Airlines, Air China
Codeshare flights that connect Sao Paulo and Beijing will begin this month between TAM and Air China. Departing from Brazil on TAM, passengers will be able to purchase tickets to Beijing, with a connection in Madrid's Barajas International Airport. There, they will have the services and support of Brazilian TAM personnel to make connections on flights operated by Air China, which will use the code JJ to Beijing. From the Chinese capital to here, Air China passengers will have the same benefits in creating their itineraries, also making a connection in the Spanish capital for our direct flight to Sao Paulo. US Airways
US Airways has managed to potentially garner rights to serve a key Latin American destination - Sao Paulo - through a deal with Delta to exchange a limited number of international route authorities. The international rights are part of larger slot swap agreement tabled today that entails US Airways transferring 125 pairs of its Express slots at LaGuardia to Delta while 42 pairs of Delta's slots at Washington National are being taken over by US Airways.
