Aerolneas Argentinas

Aerolneas Argentinas will connect Trelew and Sao Paulo. According to an agreement signed by the governor of Chubut, the secretary of Transportation and Aerolineas ArgentinasO general manager, the company will fly between Sao Paulo, Brazil and Trelew. Jun 17, 2009

Air Jamaica

From July 2nd to August 30th, 2009, Air Jamaica will operate two weekly flights between New York and Barbados to provide service for those looking for a summer holiday in Barbados, and for Barbadians, friends and relatives in the tri-state area traveling home for the summer. Air Jamaica, Barbados and STS Vacations have introduced an exclusive limited time offer -- the Bajan Invasion. American Airlines

American Airlines has 79 seats less in its daily flights between Lima and Miami, due to the change of one of its A300 that was used up to today, for a Boeing 757. There will be another 72 seats less in August as a result of the second change of the A300 for a Boeing 767, which will operate the evening flights. Jun 17, 2009

Austral Airlines, Embraer

Domestic carrier Austral will be updated following the signing of an agreement in May with the government of Brazil to purchase 20 Embraer 190 aircraft, to be delivered at a rate of two a month starting in early 2010. The Embraer aircraft will be configured to AustralOs specifications of 96 comfortably spaced seats in two classes. Jun 17, 2009

Aviacsa

The FAA has banned Mexico's Aviacsa from serving the US until it can resolve safety violations identified by the Mexican DGAC. Aviacsa has been grounded twice in recent weeks by the DGAC over alleged safety violations but both times the carrier was able to secure court orders authorising it to resume operations. However, Aviacsa has not yet been able to overcome an FAA decision to ban the carrier from serving the US. Jun 19, 2009

LAN Airlines

Starting July 5th, LAN Airlines will increase its flights to 13 weekly frequencies to Santiago de Chile with a new flight on Saturdays, doubling the amount of flights in Uruguay from Monday to Saturday with A318 and A320. The company will also continue with its Sunday flight with the Boeing 767-300ER. Jun 17, 2009

In conjunction with the launching of its new website and booking engine, Winair has introduced a special four-day web fare sale. Travelers who book from June 19 to 22 for travel through Sept. 30 can take advantage of USD39 one-way seats to and from Montserrat from Antigua.
