NEWCASTLE Centurions defeated neighbours Durham Saints 163-35 in the Northern Aussie Rules Grand Final.
In doing so, the Tynesiders became the first club in the UK to win back-to-back Premierships after defeating Middlesbrough Hawks in last year's decider.
The Centurions were determined to be the first at the ball, to be harder at the ball and to use it better than their opposition, who at times seemed helpless in coming up with a response.
For Newcastle it was hard to select the best players as everyone made valuable contributions.
However, Matt Bradford was named Best on Ground and Shaun Stewart, Rich Mitchell and Steve Allen played exceptionally well.
Simon Greetham and Dan Bollado impressed in kicking five and four goals each respectively. The rest of the goals were evenly distributed.
The Saints, although not as competitive on the day as they would have hoped, can still be proud of their season's efforts.
With several new players this year, leader and England captain Adam Ballard has a team which will only improve.
Meanwhile, Newcastle continue to show their dominance of the competition - recording only one loss in the last two years.
