ARNOTT (Gateshead). Windy Nook. Suddenly in hospital on 28th August 2009, aged 60 years, Tom, beloved husband to Nora, much loved dad of Tracy, Steven and Phillip, dear father in law to Richie, Lisa and Christine, loving and devoted grandad to Katie, Rebecca, Beth, Emily and Lauren, dearly loved son of Mabel and the late Thomas, dearest brother to Kathleen and brother in law of Bill, also a very dear uncle to Debbie and her daughter Stephanie. Friends please meet for service at Saltwell Crematorium on Friday September 4th 2009 at 10.30am. Family flowers only by request, donations if desired to Seamans Mission. A donation box will be provided at service.

BARTON (Perkinsville). Pelton.

Conor Paul, tragically at 2.45am on Friday 21st August 2009 at 19 years, beloved son of Paul, will also be missed by Kate, loved and cherished by grandma Joyce, brother to P.J. Kris and Kai, he will also be sadly missed by Teri, Sam and Toni who loved him as a brother, Uncle Nell, cousins Lee, Jade, Sharna, Brooke and Aunty Sue. Conor will also be deeply missed by mother Heather (Jukes) and all of the family. Family flowers only, donations in lieu will be split to Bike Safe Charity and the Memorial Fund. Service to be held at Pelton Trinity Church at 11.30am on Friday 4th September 2009.

BENNETT (Stanley). In hospital on 21st August, aged 86 years, Arthur, dear husband of the late Sally. Friends please meet for service and cremation at Mountsett Crematorium, on Friday 4th September at 10.15am. Family flowers only, donations if desired to The British Legion Poppy Appeal.

BRIGHAM (Scotswood). Peacefully on 28th August, aged 62 years, Betty, beloved wife of the late Tommy, a much loved mam of Sharon and Suzanne, Stephen and Gav and mother in law to Geordie and Tersha, a loving nanna to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, a loved sister of Pam. Please meet for a service at West Road Crematorium on Monday 7th September at 9.30am, donations to Cancer Research U.K. if desired.

Leonard's Hospice, York, aged 57 years, Tom, dearly loved husband to Barbara (nee McKechnie), loving dad to Linda and David, will be sadly missed by brother John and family.

CURRY (Annfield Plain). On 31st August, aged 73 years, Alan, beloved husband of the late Barbara, dear dad of Alison, Joanne and Helen and a much loved grandad. CUTHBERTSON (Whickham). On 26th August, peacefully in the R.V.I. Hospital, Dot, aged 88 years, loving wife of the late Stan and much loved mother of Keith, Joan and Raymond. Drilling), passed away peacefully in hospital on August 27th, aged 81 years, dearly loved husband of Rena, loving father of Billy and David, father in law of Michelle, much loved by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Peacefully at home on August 28th, aged 65 years, Elizabeth (Liz, nee Alderson), beloved wife of the late Frank, dearly loved mother of Frankie and Marianne and a much loved mother in law, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. GRAY (Shiremoor). Suddenly but peacefully in hospital on 25th August 2009, aged 83 years, Anne (Nancy, nee Heron), beloved wife of the late Johny, much loved sister of Audrey, John and Alan, much loved auntie to all of her nephews and nieces. Nancy will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Please meet for Funeral Service and cremation at Tynemouth Crematorium on Friday 4th September at 3.00pm. HOLLIDAY (Newcastle). Peacefully in Marie Curie on 31st August 2009, aged 75 years, David (Doc Holliday, formerly of the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers), husband of the late May, dear friend to Doreen, loving dad of David, Victor, Terry and Gary, a missed grandad, great grandad and great great grandad. HUTCHINSON (Howdon). Peacefully in hospital after a short illness, on August 27th, aged 73 years, Joyce, beloved wife of the late Harry, much loved mam of Carol and Brian, dear mother in law of Paula, proud nanna of Lee, Darren and Kate, loving grandma of Matthew and Rebecca, loving great nanna of Connor, Jamie and Finlay, loving sister of Lawrence. LILLIE (Byker). Peacefully in hospital on August 29th, aged 64 years, Henry Joseph, a loving dad, grandad and brother. Will be sadly missed by all.

Duncan, aged 68 years, suddenly on August 24th, loving dad to Caroline, Richard and David, pops to Oscar, Felix, Dillon, Joe, James, Molly, Alice, Jenna, Freya and Indigo, brother to Anne and Hylton and a friend to many. Friends please meet for service in St. John's Church, Nevilles Cross on Friday September 4th at 1.15pm, followed by cremation at Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu for The British Heart Foundation, may be given after the service. Friends welcome for refreshments at Durham City Golf Club afterwards. McDONALD (Walkerville). Peacefully on 28th August 2009, aged 61 years, Yvonne, much loved wife of Bob, beloved mam of Stephanie and Stuart and adoring grandma or Robert. Will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Family and friends please meet at the West Road Crematorium on Friday 4th September at 12.30pm. McMAHON (Dinnington). Roger, on 28th August 2009, aged 62 years, peacefully at home, greatly loved husband of Lesley, dear father of Nick and grandpa to Connor. MOLLOY (Westerhope). Peacefully at home with all her family around her, on Thursday 27th August 2009, aged 71 years, Celia, adored mam of Karen and Julie, mother in law to John and Stephen, worshipped nana of Joseph, Marie, Thomas and Alice, much loved daughter of Mary, treasured sister of Maureen and John. Would family and friends please meet for Funeral Service at English Martyrs R.C. Church, Stamfordham Road, Fenham on Thursday 3rd September at 9.30am, followed by interment at the West Road Cemetery. PARK (Gateshead). Ralph and Ian Scott would like to thank all family and friends for their kind wishes and support during this sad time. We would also like to thank the staff of the Freeman Hospital, especially Kate Sumpter who proved to be a great support to Joan. Thanks also to the staff at the St. Bede's Unit at Dunston Hill Hospital, nothing was too much trouble, for that we will always be grateful. Thanks also to Mr Ian Mitchell for a comforting service and Michael Dunne and staff of Watsons Funeral Directors.

On 28th August, aged 81 years, Edmund (Ted), dearly loved husband of Shirley, much loved dad of Val and Graeme and father in law of Alan, also a dearly loved grandad of James, Emily, Charlotte, Hannah and James, great grandad of Oliver and a dear son in law to Ethel. Funeral to be held at St. Aidan's Church, Brunton Park on Monday 7th September at 1.15pm. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the Children's Society. A retiring collection will be held at the end of the service.
