SMOKERS are being offered help to stub out their habit.

Smokers in North Tyneside are being reminded of the support available to them as new figures show the success of local NHS Stop Smoking Services.

Figures recently released by the NHS Information Centre show more smokers in the North East are being helped to quit by NHS Stop Smoking Services than anywhere else in the country.

Over 22,000 people in the region quit smoking successfully through the service last year.
