TriVergent Communications, Inc., will deploy selected DSET ezConnect gateways valued at approximately a million dollars to deliver a variety of communications services to the company's growing customer base in a nine-state region in the southeastern U.S. TriVergent, an integrated communications provider (ICP) based in Greenville, South Carolina, has purchased DSET's ezLocal, ezNumberPort, ez911, and ezLongDistance, gateways.
"The DSET family of products will greatly enhance our ability to provision service to customers across the Southeast," said Vincent M. Oddo, executive vice president and chief information officer for TriVergent. "DSET's ezConnect gateways will be important as we add the digital subscriber line product and provide a bundled package of high-speed Internet access, local phone service, and long-distance phone service to business and residential customers. In addition, as part of our total partnership with DSET, we've licensed to them our proprietary 'Electronic Bonding' software interface to the BellSouth TAG System for use in our complete solution."
ezNumberPort will interconnect TriVergent with regional Number Portability Administration Centers (NPACs), which essentially function as service bureaus established to ensure that local telephone numbers remain the same when customers change service providers.
