IN KEEPING WITH ITS LIMITED production approach to guitars and
basses, Modulus Guitars has introduced a new semi-hollow, 15" wide
Genesis 3SH guitar. The guitar features a combination of hand-carving,
high-tech patented Genesis carbon fiber neck technology, and the
exclusivity of low-quantity production runs.
"We were concerned by the number of once-small guitar makers
moving into large-scale production, leaving a dearth of instruments
beating the unmistakable look and feel of individual
craftsmanship," said Modulus President Rich Lasner. "We felt
the need to continue the tradition of individually crafted guitars, and
chose one of our top builders, Rich Hoeg, to focus solely on G3 carved
top guitars," he continued. "Rich has nearly 30 years of
building experience and has worked at Modulus in several capacities over
the last ten years," relates Lasner. "He developed a unique
hand-carving technique for the G3 carved tops, which results in a
perfectly voiced body. The guitar almost literally sings."
This line of carved-top instruments qualifies to carry the FSC
Certified Wood label, as each is made from over 70% certified wood. Only
four G3SH guitars are constructed each week.
