Dana Corp. said it broke ground for its new 211,000-square-foot Structural Solutions facility in Longview, Texas. The facility, which is scheduled for completion by March 2002, will supply structural components to the General Motors assembly plant in nearby Shreveport, La.
"This state-of-the-art facility will feature technologies and processes designed to deliver top-quality structural systems, advanced connectivity, and enhanced quality and value to our customer," said Bill Carroll, president of Dana's Automotive Systems Group.
The facility is expected to employ 450 people.
