Singapore's Economic Development Board and DaimlerChrysler signed a letter of intent to jointly launch a fuel cell project in Singapore. The agreement was reached following the Global Conference on Transportation and Technological Advancements held in Singapore.
The project will include the introduction and running of a fuel cell fleet and the establishment of necessary infrastructure for alternative fuel cell vehicles, vehicle operation and maintenance in Singapore. Under the letter of intent, the two sides will also set up a "DaimlerChrysler Fuel Cell Fellowship Singapore" to provide all the necessary technical training and support for the fuel cell vehicles.
