MEXICO CITY -- Following the release of figures that showed no growth in aDP in the second quarter, the government is expected to revise its projections for the full year. The government started the year with a growth forecast of 4.5% and already has cut its projections several times to 2% or less. However, an annual growth rate of just 0.9% in the first quarter and a fiat second quarter has prompted officials to begin reevaluating the figures again. Most analysts now say growth for the year will be 1% at best. A slowing US economy has proven to be a significant drag on Mexican growth. In addition, lower interest rates have failed to reignite consumer demand.
