Johnson Controls, Inc. said it has completed its two previously announced European acquisitions: the automotive electronics business of Sagem SA and the German automotive battery manufacturer Hoppecke Automotive GmbH & Co. KG.
The acquisition of France-based Sagem brings complementary automotive electronics expertise to Johnson Controls and expands its European electronics capabilities, the company said. Hoppecke provides Johnson Controls with new battery technologies that will enable it to be on the forefront of the industry conversion to 42-volt automotive systems, the company added.
