Zero Interest Rate On New Cars Loans Boost October Sales By 24.4 Percent.(Brief Article)(Statistical Data Included)


Interest-free financing deals encouraged a record number of Americans to purchase new cars and trucks in October, despite the ongoing economic slowdown. Car and light truck sales rose 24.4 percent compared to the same period a year ago, to a seasonally adjusted rate of 21.3 million units. General Motors Corp. has reported a 31 percent increase in sales, while Ford said overall sales rose 36 percent.
