TELUS SELECTS BROADJUMP FOR BROADBAND FULFILLMENT.

BroadJump, Inc., Austin, Texas, a broadband software leader, has announced that TELUS Corporation (TSE:T) (TSE:T.A) (NYSE:TU), one of Canada's leading telecommunications companies, has selected a suite of BroadJump's solutions to deploy across its high-speed DSL network.

With plans to increase its broadband subscriber base by over 90 percent in 2002, TELUS will use BroadJump's Virtual Truck(R) Installer and Virtual Truck Qualifier to reduce costs and further enhance the broadband experience for its subscribers. TELUS joins a growing list of BroadJump's Canadian customers including Bell Canada and Aliant Telecom. TELUS will begin immediate deployment of BroadJump's Virtual Truck Qualifier and Virtual Truck Installer re-branded as Velocity(R) Install Wizard.

"Using BroadJump's solution, TELUS has taken a significant step forward in the evolution of our ADSL Internet service offering," said Mike Black, director of TELUS Internet services. "Velocity Install Wizard will enhance our ADSL service delivery process by creating the best customer installation experience possible, especially for customers using TELUS QuickConnect to install their own high-speed service. We needed a radically simple installation tool -- and that's just what we have in Velocity Install Wizard."

Through the use of the Virtual Truck Qualifier, an easy-to-use Web-based download, potential subscribers can pre-qualify their system for broadband. If the system can support a broadband connection, subscribers can then use BroadJump's Virtual Truck Installer software to self-install high-speed Internet access. The combination of Virtual Truck Qualifier and Virtual Truck Installer saves TELUS time and expense on costly truck rolls as well as post-installation support calls.

"TELUS is taking a holistic approach to deploying high-speed data access by enabling a seamless installation experience -- therefore creating long-lasting relationships that it can leverage throughout the entire subscriber lifecycle," said Kenny Van Zant, chief operating officer for BroadJump, Inc. "BroadJump's continued penetration into the Canadian DSL market exemplifies our commitment to deliver solutions that make broadband profitable to the leading service providers worldwide."
