The Portescap P110 series features a 2-phase, 24-step motor that is 16 mm in dia. and 19 mm long with a holding torque rating of 7 mNm. Disc-magnet technology creates very low rotor inertia of only 0.4 x [10.sup.-7] kg-[m.sup.2] resulting in high dynamic capability. Phase current can be boosted intermittently--up to 1.5 times nominal--to provide better dynamic performance. Low detent torque suits it for microstep operation.
