The University of Wisconsin Badger Marching Band recently accepted
delivery of over 100 new Getzen Eterna Classic 900S trumpets. The
instruments, manufactured in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, by The Getzen Company,
were supplied with specially manufactured soft-sided cases sporting the
Badger crimson colors with the University of Wisconsin's marching
band logo embroidered on the side.
"We're proud to continue to be part of the Badger
Band's sound," said Tom Getzen, president and owner of The
Getzen Company. "The Badger Marching Band has been using Getzen
silver-plated trumpets, trombones, and flugelhorns for several years,
and it is always a thrill to hear our instruments being played by a band
of this caliber."
Getzen Eterna trumpets feature a medium-large .460" bore,
nickel silver mouthpipe, nickel silver slides, 4-3/4" diameter
yellow brass bell, first valve slide saddle, and an adjustable third
slide ring. This unique model has bright silver plating and
chrome-plated finger buttons. Getzen valves are individually hand lapped
and carry a lifetime guarantee.
"We'd like to thank White House of Music in Waukesha,
Wisconsin, for its service to the Badger Band," Tom Getzen noted.
