TECORE LAUNCHES PRIORITY SERVICE FOR AIRCORE WIRELESS.

TECORE Wireless Systems, Columbia, Md., a new generation system provider for wireless networks around the world, has announced that wireless priority service has been launched as an integrated feature on its AirCore Mobile Switching System.

The AirCore Priority feature enables wireless operators to allow their high-priority subscribers' calls to move to the top of the calling queue and get connected during critical situations. High priority "superusers" include designated government officials, law enforcement, emergency response personnel and critical personnel from the private sector.

With the AirCore Priority feature, operators can meet industry and government mandates, while providing another means for revenue generation.

The AirCore Priority feature offers wireless operators the ability to assign multiple levels of priority based on the subscribers' need for the priority service. Priority levels are assigned at subscriber provisioning through an intuitive GUI interface and this feature is also fully interoperable with other applications such as the AirCore Prepaid and location-based services.

"As wireless has become the primary mode of emergency communications around the world, the ability to offer priority service is of ever-increasing importance to homeland security and disaster response agencies," said Shiblie O. Shiblie, TECORE's chief operating officer.

The AirCore Priority feature is designed to meet the GSM enhanced Multi-Level Precedence and Pre-emption (eMLPP) standards, and is implemented as a software upgrade available in AirCore release 12.0. The feature is fully integrated into TECORE's compact 'one-box' AirCore System, eliminating the need for any external equipment, interfaces and interconnections.
