Delphi Corp., said it has won significant electrical/electronic
distribution systems (E/EDS) vehicle program content this year totaling
$2.7 billion in revenue for the life of the contracts, which supports 17
automotive and heavy-duty truck manufacturers globally. Most contracts
begin for model years 2005 and 2006.
"This has been a record year for quoting on new vehicle
programs," said Paul Miller, Delphi Packard Electric Systems E/EDS
business line executive. "Our success in winning as much business
as we have speaks to our ability to provide our customers regionally
with cost-effective, reliable systems solutions and designs that are
customized to their needs."
These sales represent various levels of vehicle optimization and
integration based on customer needs and vehicle complexity. Delphi will
support these contracts with design development and engineering and a
full range of products and solutions.
"As we continue growing our business, we are looking for ways
to expand into adjacent transportation industries providing tiered
suppliers and heavy- duty truck customers with a full range of products
and solutions through optimization and systems integration," Miller
said.
