SATCOM INTRODUCES TRUE AUTOMATIC POINTING SYSTEM.

The true Automatic Pointing System[TM] (APS). This new software allows an optimized one-button-operation for ND SatCom SkyWAN(R) networks with the ND SatCom SkyRAY Antenna Subsystems without requiring additional satellite bandwidth for the antenna positioning.

This innovative Automatic Pointing System can be put into operation worldwide at any location together with an existing SkyWAN(R) network and without pilot signal or reference satellite. Solely the position of the satellite together with all relevant measuring and pointing equipment i.e. SkyWAN(R), Antenna Control Unit (ACU), GPS-Receiver and compass are necessary to determine the true antenna elevation, azimuth and polarization angle. All monitoring and control functions are performed by ND SatCom's unique Automatic Pointing System[TM] software. Thus, exact antenna pointing takes typically only 5 minutes. APS can be operated by any staff from a laptop or industrial PC within a vehicle and offers self-explanatory and easy-to-use features like touch panel, intuitional operation, clearly structured GUI, easy maintenance and trouble-shooting.
