VOX TO OFFER BROADBAND PHONE SERVICE IN PUERTO RICO.

June 1, 2006

VoX Communications Corp., eLEC Communications Corp.'s (OTCBB: ELEC) wholesale and retail provider of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services nationwide, has announced that customers will be able to order its broadband telephone service in Puerto Rico starting on May 1, 2006. By offering such services, VoX will become one of the only companies to bring the savings, quality and advanced features enabled by VoIP directly to consumers across the entire island of Puerto Rico. Additionally, VoX will enable customers in the 50 U.S. states to add a Puerto Rico telephone number to any U.S.-based VoX plan for just $4.95 each month, and allow friends and family living in Puerto Rico to call them on a local number rather than a long distance number.

VoX will offer the same service plans currently available throughout the rest of the U.S. to residents of Puerto Rico. Basic service includes 200 minutes of calling for just $9.95. The VoX Unlimited plan allows customers to talk all they want throughout the U.S. and Canada, as well as Puerto Rico, for $29.95. All plans include advanced features such as voicemail, three-way calling, caller ID blocking, basic 911 and enhanced 911 where available. Additionally, VoX offers some of the lowest international rates available. The service will be sold online and is expected to be made available through major U.S. retailers with stores throughout Puerto Rico.

"VoX is all about changing the way people think about their telephone service, and we're excited to directly offer consumers and small businesses in Puerto Rico all the tremendous benefits and cost savings that come with broadband phone service," said Ron Harden, VoX Communications' executive vice president of sales and marketing. "We provide reliable, high-quality phone service at an affordable price - without skimping on features or capabilities. Many broadband telephone plans include free calls to Puerto Rico, but not many enable customers to choose a Puerto Rico telephone number so that friends and family members can reach them by dialing a local number from Puerto Rico."

"This is a significant milestone for VoX as we expand our footprint into new markets. With our increasing reach, we can offer more customers more savings while providing them with the most reliable, highest quality broadband phone service available today," added Mark Richards, president and CIO of VoX Communications.
