STRATEGIC HOTELS & RESORTS, a U.S. luxury hotel investment company, bought US$29.5 million in land from La Solana Hoteles Villas, a Mexican hotel operator. The deal gives Strategic Hotels & Resorts 8.3 hectares of property that will hold a 70-suite development as well as rights to build 55 apartments that will go up for sale on an adjacent 11 hectares.
