EL PASO, a U.S. natural gas company, agreed to sell for US$190 million a 60% stake in Araucaria, a Brazilian power plant, to Copel, a Brazilian energy company. Petrobras, Brazil's state-owned oil company and a partner in Araucaria, must approve the deal.
