MICROS-Fidelio UK Ltd, a wholly- owned subsidiary of MICROS
Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS , a leading provider of information
technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, has
partnered with Thistle Hotels to upgrade its various EPOS systems to the
PCI compliant 9700 Hospitality Management Solution (HMS), across 30
locations in the UK.
The fully integrated MICROS 9700 HMS solution will replace all of
the Thistle Hotels legacy electronic-point-of-sale (EPOS) systems and
will aid the hotel chain in producing end-to-end inventory, tighter

MICROS 9700 HMS utilizes the industry's most advanced EPOS
technology to deliver maximum flexibility and scalability, providing
Thistle's senior management with a tool to produce up-to-the-minute
customized reports in real- time. The solution also allows multiple
users to operate other software programs while the solution is in use.
"Thistle desires a consistent, proven hospitality management
solution throughout its estate that can interface seamlessly to its
current OPERA and Fidelio property management systems," stated
Matthew Newton, Programme & Applications Manager, Thistle Hotels.

costs, bringing the downtime to our business to a minimum, and improving
our overall customer service with the implementation of the MICROS
integrated solution."

Management Systems (PMS) installed at the 30 Thistle sites, OPERA PMS
and Fidelio V6 PMS. Both systems provide management with unparalleled
tools for reservations, reporting, customer-profiling and rate
management, generating greater traffic into the Thistle properties. They
also provide Thistle staff with the tools for performing day-to-day
activities such as handling reservations, checking guests in and out,
assigning rooms and managing room inventory, and handling accounting and
billing.
