INTRODUCTIONS
STEINGRAEBER & SOHNE will unveil its new piano, the D-232
Semi-Concert Grand. The new 7'7" semi concert grand by the
Bayreuth high-end manufacturer follows in the footsteps of the
Steingraeber full concert grand E-272, but includes innovations such as
the largest capo bar area existing in a modern piano design. The rim is
shaped according to the same principle as model E-272, creating a
sound-reflection zone for pianists.
The new Steingraeber SFM (magnetic) Upright Action will also be
presented. Offering a touch comparable to the fast and "deep"
repetition of a grand piano; the Upright Action is available for all
Steingraeber & Sohne vertical pianos. The development came out of a
cooperation between the construction design department of Steingraeber
& Sohne in Bayreuth and the German action makers Renner in
Gartringen.
U.S. dealers will preview these innovations at their annual dealer
meeting January 17 at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Irvine,
California.
