THE FORD DRUM Company, which recently launched its Smart Ass line of musician seats, is now offering coordinated seat backs that will be showcased at the winter NAMM show in Anaheim. Reminiscent of the upholstery common to classic T-Birds and Corvettes of the 1950s, the Smart Ass features contrasting seat bands, tops, and piping along with three quilted stitching styles and another called the "thong."

"Giving the finest, most supportive seat in the industry a backup plan was in the works from the beginning," says Ford spokesman Jay Gaylen. "However, having received so many seat back requests, we thought it wise to listen to our customer base and push up the introduction of this in-demand accessory. The shape of the seat back mimics our logo and matches the seat color and stitch pattern. A great seat now has an even a greater vibe."
The Ford Smart Ass line of seats feature advanced Swedish pressure-relieving memory foam. This is the real, highly expensive memory foam found in some of the finest mattresses in the world--making the Smart Ass the only musician's throne engineered to conform perfectly to one's unique shape, providing superior comfort and support.
The new seat back design raises the comfort level of the Smart Ass for those needing a little extra lumbar support. This option will be offered on a custom order basis.
