Aspall, the award-winning cyder, is the latest premium brand to join Thomas Lowndes impressive portfolio of leading, international culinary liqueur and spirit brands.
Three variants will be available for use in food manufacturing; Aspall Draught Suffolk cyder at 5.5% ABV, Aspall Premier Cru at 7% ABV and Aspall Organic at 7% ABV. The cyder will be supplied non-carbonated for ease of use and comes in 5 or 20 litre PET containers.
Aspall is a premium cyder that offers genuine quality, authenticity and heritage because it is only ever made with 100% fresh pressed English apples and has a distinctive taste. Suitable uses include use as a soak with vine fruits, dried apples or figs, use as a marinade particularly for pork and white meat, ie apple and thyme marinade with Aspall Cyder and, to be used as a savoury sauce, for example in a beurre blanc to accompany delicate white fish. Cyder can also be incorporated into apple and pear sorbets or added to traditional chutneys, pork and apple terrines and apple sauces.
Barry Chevallier Guild, partner at Aspall, comments: "Our association with Thomas Lowndes will allow the Aspall brand to extend reach into new and diverse areas creating new consumer touch-points and helping further to grow the brand. Aspall is a super premium cyder brand and we anticipate linking up with foods of a similar calibre. As the leading branded alcohol supplier in the UK, Thomas Lowndes is well placed to deliver this vision and we look forward to a successful relationship in the future."
John Meyer, managing director of Thomas Lowndes, commented: "With consumer interest in the cyder market at an all time high, Aspall is just the sort of brand we welcome into our portfolio due to the wealth of new brand extension opportunities it creates. The addition of Aspall to our portfolio follows hard on the heels of recent new brand acquisitions such as Charles Ellner champagne, Drambuie[R] Liqueur and Dooley's[R] Original Toffee and Vodka cream liqueur which serves to reinforce the breadth and depth of our portfolio."
