InfoGuard debuts Multilink/Multiprotocol encryption
capability.
At last years Infosec, InfoGuard highlighted the issue with the
first public demonstration of a real-time hack against an optical
Ethernet link using "off the shelf" components. The
demonstration took only a few minutes and allowed eavesdropping of such
a connection without damage the outside cladding of the cable.
This demonstration helped raise awareness of the issue and the
first Optical Ethernet Encryption Device to provide up to 256-bit AES
data encryption with uninterrupted performance at 100% while maintaining
a stable latency of less than 5[micro]s for 1 and 10 Gb links.
At Infosecurity Europe 2008, InfoGuard launched InfoGuard Multilink
Encryption-claiming to be the world's first multi-link and
multi-protocol encryption device able to seamlessly encrypt up to 10
interface ports simultaneously across any combination of Fibre Channel,
Ficon and Ethernet protocols while maintaining low latency.
InfoGuard's Multilink Encryption supports transmission over WDM,
Dark Fibre, SDH or SONET networks allowing customers to economically
secure all transit paths while improving network consolidation.
