The 25th International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists
(IFSCC) Congress will be held Oct. 6-9, 2008 in Barcelona, Spain. The
theme for this year's event--which is hosted by the Spanish Society
of Cosmetic Chemists (SEQC) and coincides with its 50th anniversary--is
"Building Cosmetics: Research, Technology & Culture."
The congress, which will be held at the Palau de Congressos de
Catalunya, will serve as a showcase for scientific works featuring the
latest advancements in basic and applied cosmetic research presented by
the most prestigious researchers coming from universities, hospitals,
research centers, cosmetic companies and raw material suppliers. The
technical exhibition, which runs parallel to the congress at the Palua
de Congressos, offers attendees a look at the latest innovations in the
field of cosmetic ingredients and packaging materials and an opportunity
to connect with direct product evaluation and testing laboratories and
other suppliers.

A social program has also been planned enabling attendees and
accompanying persons to enjoy the Mediterranean culture and hospitality
of Barcelona.
