HOLIDAYMAKERS will soon be able to jet off to Croatia direct from
Newcastle.
Low fare airline Jet2.com announced today it will launch flights to
Split in May next year.
The new route to the Eastern European hotspot brings the total
number available with the airline from Newcastle to 13.
Speaking about the launch, Philip Meeson, boss of Jet2.com, said:
"Croatia is a fantastic addition to the schedule from Newcastle.
"The city of Split offers everything for holidaymakers, from
culture and history to beaches and nightlife.
With its Italian influences and miles of clean beaches, Croatia is
fast becoming one of Europe's leading holiday hot spots."
Split is the main city in the region of Dalmatia and the largest
city on the Croatian Adriatic coast. It emerged from a Greek settlement
and Roman Emperor Diocletian built his palace there.

including taxes. Flights will leave Newcastle for Split on Saturdays
with the first departing on May 2 next year. Visit www.jet2.com
