Being safe on the roads.

Evening Chronicle (Newcastle, England) • Sept 5, 2008 • News

THE LATEST episode of a Chronicle-backed online TV show has gone live.

Krash TV aims to deliver safety messages through a Top Gear-style format and new installments are being released each week. The show features celebrities trying to negotiate a race track while carrying out tasks in a bid to highlight the dangers of driving.

The latest episode features British Drift Championship ace Andrew Scott, based in Hexham. He follows in the footsteps of British Touring Car driver Harry Vaulkhard and BBC sport presenter Jeff Brown.

Presenter Abi Griffiths said: "Krash TV has a hard-hitting message."

Jeremy Forsberg, of the Road Respect campaign, said: "We need to break the myth that being a good driver means being boring."
