Merck Serono, a division of German major Merck KgaA, has signed a
licensing agreement with Australia's Bionomics for the development
of treatments for multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune diseases.
Bionomics will receive $2m upfront and research funding and milestone
payments of up to 47m [euro] for each compound selected, and undisclosed
royalties.
