2009 Green Cities Conference registration goes live September 15: conference will include a day and a half of mobile workshops and an opportunity to participate in Earth Day events.

NLC will open registration for the 2009 Green Cities Conference, to be held in Portland, Ore., April 18-22, 2009, on September 15.

Registration will only be available online and can be accessed at www.NLCGreen CitiesConferenceandExpo.org. As the conference program builds, excitement for the event continues to increase.

Conference planners expanded the conference offerings to include a day and a half of mobile workshops, which will take place on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, as well as an opportunity to participate in Earth Day events on Wednesday, April 22.

While the heart of the conference will take place April 19-21, as originally planned, the expanded offerings will allow those attending to experience an even greater range of learning opportunities, according to conference planners.

Registration to the 2009 Green Cities Conference includes:

* An opportunity to participate in pre-conference mobile workshops

* Three keynote/general sessions

* 20 targeted workshops

* More than 100 green/sustainability focused exhibitors

* Networking with likeminded city officials and others

* A Sunday welcoming reception in the Exhibit Hall

* A Monday Exhibit Hall networking lunch

* A Tuesday Exhibit Hall continental breakfast

* A Tuesday closing lunch and town meeting

* Early Non-NLC Member-$430

* Advance NLC Member City (by January 31)-$450

* Advance Non-Member-$510

* Late/On-Site NLC Member City (after January 31)-$525

* Late/On-Site Non-Member-$585

* Student Rate (Team Discount does not apply)--$150

* TEAM DISCOUNT (for groups of 3 or more from the same organization)--$75 off each registration (MUST REGISTER AT ONE TIME)
