Wright Lindsey & Jennings LLP of Little Rock has joined Alfa International, a 137-firm global legal network.
The move by the Wright firm, considered a mid-sized firm with 59 lawyers, gives it an edge over much larger firms.
While the giant law firms have merged to gain more business, that expansion creates fixed costs, but by joining the Alfa network, Wright Lindsey & Jennings has a presence worldwide without the fixed costs.
The firm is already answering more requests for proposals from potential corporate clients because it often can provide services at less cost.
The network provides access to research and relationships with member attorneys and firms across jurisdictions and borders to solve clients' legal issues. For example, clients of an Alfa member firm in the United States or China can immediately have access to a lawyer in either location with a phone call and begin resolution of their legal issues.
