Dear Readers:

It is my pleasure to send you the Winter 2000 (XII, 4) issue of the Journal of Managerial Issues. The articles in this issue, covering a wide range of important managerial topics, have a common theme: academic rigor combined with managerial insights. Our goal is to publish high quality original work that promises to be of interest to both researchers and practitioners.

In line with that goal, we wish to broaden our topic coverage within the discipline of management and to include more work from other business and business-related disciplines (e.g., accounting, marketing, MIS, industrial psychology). I invite you to look over our "Call for Manuscripts," following the masthead. Topics not included in this call may also be of interest to us. I would be happy to respond to any inquiries on this issue.
