Malibu Will Offer Delphi's Electric
Steering.
Autoparts Report • Jan 17, 2003 • General Motors Corp.'s 2004 Chevy Malibu will
feature Delphi Corp.'s E*STEER electric power steering system
Delphi Corp. said General Motors 2004 Chevy Malibu will be the
first vehicle in North America to offer Delphi's electric power
steering system. The auto parts maker said its E*STEER system is an
electric power steering system that provides steering assistance at low
speeds and maintains the desired controlled responsiveness at high
speeds.
When compared to traditional power steering systems, E*STEER helps
improve fuel economy by up to 4 percent, the company claimed.
