Siblings Alexa and James Hirschfeld launched Paperless Post to solve a problem. The young entrepreneurs got the idea after James, planning a 21st birthday party for himself, realized he wasn't satisfied with the existing options for inviting guests – either to send a paper invitation through the post or to send an e-vite for an event that was still two weeks away.

With Paperless Post, the Hirschfelds have found a way to combine the thoughtfulness of old-fashioned paper invitations with the high-tech world of digital communications. Their invitation packages range from free to as much as $100. The more expensive invites have more detailed and beautiful designs.

The Hirschfelds' vision is paying off. Today the company has 50 employees, a million registered users and $12 million in funding. In this episode of Young Visionaries, we talk to Alexa and James about their growth process and what's next for Paperless Post.
