Precaution is better than cure is something which goes well with the modern lifestyle as well and hence here are a few tips that will help you live a healthy life.

  • Don't miss out on your salads- Go green feel green!

Salads are loaded with vitamins such as A, C and K and Minerals such as calcium, iron, antioxidant alpha and beta carotene. These essential nutrients provide nourishment to the skin and give you that healthy glow you need to stand out physically as an entrepreneur. It is important to note that these days some foods lack in nutrient value, so it's essential to consume the correct dietary supplements that greatly help in leading a productive life and keeping your hormone levels in check.

  • Daily workout

Exercise is the backbone of healthy living and this will really help you step up your game in the boardroom and your daily life. Regular exercise and regular hydration throughout the day has multiple advantages. Preventing the loss of bone and muscle mass, prevention and control of chronic conditions such as heart diseases, arthritis, diabetes, back pain, obesity and daily stress that could lead to depression area among some of the benefits. If you do not have the time to go to a gym, you can also do yoga at home, stretching, play a sport on the weekends. As an optional you may also partake in 'Balance Exercises' that you may enjoy like tai chi, leg swings, one legged balance or heel to toe walking which can be equally helpful.

  • Keep your PH levels in check - Eat clean!

Some foods are considered to be alkaline or acidic depending on the PH level of the food contents. Alkaline foods include green vegetables, fruits, peas, beans, lentils herbs and seasonings. Acidic foods include lemon juice, cabbage, tomatoes, beets and collard greens. Too much acid in the body is what makes the body prone to diseases. Experts suggest that a diet heavy in alkaline foods and light on acidic food is the key to a cleaner and healthier body. A balance maintained between the two help the body fight diseases such as arthritis, heart disease, fatigue, memory loss or something as simple as wrinkled skin and premature ageing.

  • Keep emotional eating in check

I call this the 'Mind and Body Connection'. Emotional eating gives rise to your Cortisol Levels (Stress Hormone). Eating when you are stressed or have unpleasant emotions not only affects what you eat, but also how you digest it. Always stay calm and positive when you eat. This will help your brain acknowledge better absorption of nutrients enabling you to feel satisfied and happy.

  • Sleep well

As Shakespeare said "Sleep is Nature's Soft Nurse." Sleep gives your body the care it needs after all the stress it goes through in the day. Contrary to popular belief, you are actually likely to lose more weight if you allow your body the appropriate sleep time it needs. It has been proven that people who find it hard to sleep are more prone to weight gain because the hours they are awake, they are more likely to be tempted to consume foods that are calorie rich.

  • Don't forget to Meditate to Mindfulness

Meditation is to help your mind practice concentration to achieve a more mentally clear and emotionally calm state. It is suggested to meditate at least 4 times a week if not every day to lessen stress, decrease emotional eating to control high blood pressure and prevent heart diseases. Meditation also helps you stay positive and optimistic.
