Zoning laws won't allow my home to be a business address. Now what do I do?

I want to start a cleaning business but zoning won't allow my home address as the business address. They suggested a storage unit as a "base," but it's an added expense and not needed, plus I can't imagine I can get mail sent there. Now what? This would be a residential house cleaning business in downtown Norfolk, VA and my home address would serve only as a mailing address. Zoning suggested the storage unit and it must be a minimum 5' by 5' within the city of Norfolk. Can I use a P.O. box as a business address?

Locate an Executive Center where you can obtain a corporate identity package.  This will give you a proper mailing address (not a P.O. Box) and phone number and a place to hold meetings.  You can do the work at home.
