Everyone can give you the headlines. We help you learn from the day's shifts, both big and small.

Lesson #1: Teamwork makes the dream work.

Tech leaders and top Republicans recently attended a private event for the American Enterprise Institute. The main topic? How to stop Trump’s campaign, according to The Huffington Post.

Lesson #2: Push back.

New York City is demanding Airbnb hand over the names of illegal hosts. Recently, the rental marketplace admitted it had scrubbed its data of these listings before sending to lawmakers, reports the New York Daily News.

Lesson #3: There’s no shortcut to a good night’s rest.

Everyone needs their beauty sleep, but it’s ok to shave one or two hours from the recommended eight, right? Maybe not. According to a new study published in the journal Sleep, consistently catching six hours of shut-eye a night is as bad as if you didn’t sleep at all the night before.

Lesson #4: Stay strong.

A jury awarded Erin Andrews $55 million in civil suit against the Marriott hotel. The ruling comes after a two week  trial regarding a nude video of Andrews that was filmed at one of the company’s hotels, and posted online.

Lesson #5: It’s not the jeggings’ fault.

Urban Outfitters blamed a tough year on a lack of fashion innovation. He claims the last big fashion shift brought us the skinny bottom (leggings, jeggings, and other stretch items) but since there’s been an “apparel malaise,” says Buzzfeed.
