Laid off nine months after graduating college, Keenan Williams found himself in a state of career crisis, unsure about what to do next or where to go. Despite all the stress, one source of consistent encouragement and support came from his stepdad, David Pope.

Not long after connecting his stepson with a business mentor, Williams is about to launch the business of his dreams: Rezi.co, which matches tenants with home rentals.

"Dad, I have a plan, and trust me, I'm gonna kill it," Williams recalls telling Pope when he was just starting out. To which his father replied, "I know you are."
