Digital Nomads rely heavily on technology nowadays. Not only to earn a living, but also to stay organized and productive. The easiest and most efficient way they do this is by using apps that help them with their everyday needs while running their businesses on the road. There are tons of apps out there so trying to decide which ones to use can be tough.

Below, I have compiled a list of apps that have become quite popular for todays Digital Nomads. Some of them you might've heard about before and some of them you haven't but rest assured this won't be the last time you hear about them. They are on the rise and have become essential for the mobile lifestyle.

1. Health app.

Access to healthy food can sometimes be a challenge when traveling the world, especially when you find yourself in an unfamiliar place. Farmstand is a free and interactive app that helps travelers locate fresh produce and markets at a good price, around the world. With over 8,700 global farmers' markets listed on the app, digital nomads have access to open times, directions and photos from other market goers. But most importantly, Digital Nomads can keep their health a priority.

That's where the free app Credntia comes in, giving travelers digital access to their personal credentials, like licenses, passports and health cards, no matter where or when. Credntia has taken extra steps on both the front and backends of their app -- from Touch ID verification to advanced data encryption -- to keep the most sensitive personal credentials safe and secure.

3. Transportation app.
