Mark Zuckerberg today revealed his annual personal challenge in a Facebook Post. The Facebook CEO challenges himself every year to learn new things and grow outside of my work.

He said that his personal challenge for this year is to visit and meet people in every state in the US by the end of the year.To accomplish his challenge he will need to travel to about 30 states this year.

Meet More People In Real Life :

" In recent years, I've run 365 miles, built a simple AI for my home, read 25 books and learned Mandarin. After a tumultuous last year, my hope for this challenge is to get out and talk to more people about how they're living, working and thinking about the future," Zuckerberg wrote in his post.

For previous challenges, the Facebook CEO completed learning Mandarin, ran at least a mile each day and built a virtual assistant called Jarvis to control his home.

Zuckerberg says he plans to take road trips with his wife, Priscilla Chan, and make stops all around the country to achieve his goal. He will also be taking Facebook users' recommendations for places to stop along the way.

With this challenge, he is also excited to explore more of the country and meet more people there.

Technology and Globalization Have Made Us More Productive and Connected.

Zuckerberg further said that technology and globalization have created a greater sense of divisions in society. Due to which some people are finding it beneficial, while others are finding it more challenging.

" Going into this challenge, it seems we are at a turning point in history. For decades, technology and globalization have made us more productive and connected. This has created many benefits, but for a lot of people it has also made life more challenging. This has contributed to a greater sense of division than I have felt in my lifetime. We need to find a way to change the game so it works for everyone," he added.

Zuckerberg wants to personally hear more voices this year which will help him lead the work at Facebook and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative to make the most positive impact as the world enters an important new period. The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative empowers strong, independent leaders from academia and government, as well as the technology and nonprofit sectors to do the best work possible.

"I've enjoyed doing these challenges with our community and I'll post tomorrow about how everyone around the world can join in. I'm looking forward to this challenge and I hope to see you out there!," the statement continued.
