Startups using these technologies creating a huge impact on the enterprise market, be it mechanical, automobile, aerospace, electrical, construction, retail and education.

Banking on VR & AR Technology:

A virtual reality typically means an imaginary world created in user’s mind. In today’s times it’s done via technology through virtual reality headsets or multi-projected environments, sometimes in combination with physical environments or props, to generate realistic images, sounds and other sensations that simulate a user's physical presence in a virtual or imaginary environment.

On the other hand, the primary value of augmented reality is that it brings components of the digital world into a person's perception of the real world, and does so not as a simple display of data, but through the integration of immersive sensations that are perceived as natural parts of an environment.

Many major tech giants like like Facebook, Google and Samsung have already got VR headsets in the market. It is also rumored that Apple is also trying its hands on wireless headset that combines AR and VR technologies.

In 2017, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality gained momentum with investors pouring in a huge amount of funding into AR & VR focused startups and companies. According to an IDC study, the worldwide revenues for augmented and virtual reality market will grow to USD 162 billion in 2020.With these two technologies taking over the world, it would be interesting to see what significant innovations are awaited in upcoming years.
