Getting to Know You
The key to short- and long-term profitability is to be involved with your customers.
As demonstrated by your follow-up, and for them to be involved with you, as demonstrated by their repeat business. To get involved w2ith your customers, you've got to get to know them. Talk to them when they visit your store, ask their opinions on merchandise, solicit recommendations for items they'd like to see, and find out how they use your products. The same goes for service businesses-the more you know about your customers, the more you can interact with them in meaningful ways.
