Sure, they're a little pricey. But it's plain to see that oversize flat-panel displays can be great investments for your business.

Liquid crystal displays (LCDs) are fast nudging old-fashionedCRT monitors off business desktops everywhere. What you see aremostly cost-effective 15- and 17-inch displays that duplicate theviewing area of traditional monitors and are suited to regularbusiness applications like word processing, Web browsing ande-mail.

But there are times when a still-larger LCD can spell enhancedproductivity for an information worker. Not every entrepreneur andemployee needs a 19- or 21-inch or larger display, but certaincomputing activities are a lot easier- can be completed morequickly- you can see more. Anyone dealing with legal-sizedocuments or jumbo spreadsheets, or workers who need to tile two ormore applications in separate windows, can benefit from the extraviewing room a large-size LCD provides. So can anyone in thegraphic arts, where resolution is crucial. If that fits a jobdescription or two around your organization, it may be time tostart looking at larger displays.
