Looking for a simple and smooth solution to accepting onlinepayments? Geared toward small and midsize businesses, PayPal'snew Website Payments Pro may have the solution. Through threefunctions--PayPal Express Checkout, Direct Payment API, andVirtual Terminal--it lets you choose to accept up to three paymentoptions: credit cards; payments by phone, fax or mail; or PayPalaccounts.
Merchants can also include their own branding at every step ofthe process and direct buyers to continue shopping aftertransactions are completed. "When buyers choose to pay with acredit card, PayPal is invisible on the back end," notesPayPal's Sara Betten-court. "And if they pay with a PayPalaccount, they are directed to the PayPal site momentarily to log inand confirm payment, and then automatically redirected to themerchant website to complete checkout."
