Franchise Finance Program Provides Loans to African Americans

St. Petersburg, Florida-The Tampa Bay Black BusinessInvestment Corp. is participating in a new franchise financeprogram for African-American entrepreneurs. The program, funded bystate appropriations, provides loans to qualified African Americansand is administered through the investment corporation and similaragencies. To qualify, a potential franchisee has to have goodcredit and money for equity in the venture, usually at least 10percent of the start-up costs. Location and services provided bythe franchise are also taken into consideration. -TheBusiness Journal of Tampa Bay
