Exporting to the Netherlands and student joint ventures

The next generation of international entrepreneurs is having itsfirst exporting experience, and by all indications, it won't bethe last. Last fall, 90 students from six Central highschools teamed up with peers from the newly liberated Republic ofMoldova to form corporations that will manufacture and export aproduct.

Junior Achievement and the Eastern Linkage Institute ofthe University of Central Florida created Project GLOBE (GlobalLearning of the Enterprise) to introduce students to theconcept of international joint ventures-and to immerse them in theculture and economic processes of another country. PamelaFinlayson, a teacher at Maynard Evans in , saysthe 15 students she is shepherding through the program are so intoit that they're even meeting outside of class to discussit.
